Escape the city and experience one of Qatar’s most unique outdoor adventures with our guided Mangrove Kayaking Tour at Al Thakhira Mangroves and Purple Island. Paddle through calm natural waterways surrounded by lush mangrove forests while discovering the rich marine life and ecological beauty of Qatar’s northeastern coastline.

This beginner-friendly experience is perfect for solo travelers, couples, families, and groups looking to relax, explore nature, and enjoy a peaceful kayaking journey with professional guides. During the tour, guests will explore the famous Purple Island, learn about the environmental importance of mangroves, and enjoy breathtaking scenic views along the way.

The experience includes kayaks, paddles, life jackets, safety briefing, beginner paddling instructions, complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee, and full camp access.

Guests are recommended to bring comfortable water-friendly clothing and footwear, a change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and a phone or camera to capture the experience. Please expect to get slightly wet during the kayaking activity.

Prices start from 180 QAR for adults and 75 QAR for kids, while infants under 6 years can join free of charge. Optional hotel pickup and drop-off service is available for 150 QAR round trip for up to 4 guests.

Tour duration is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Please note that all trips are scheduled based on daily tide conditions, therefore trip timings may vary from day to day to ensure the safest and best kayaking experience through the mangroves.
